Of Pond and Porn

A couple of days ago, while fetching the kids from their grandma's place, we had this very weird conversation.

For the longest time, Shahrizal has been asking me for my small portable pond which I'm currently not using to be installed at the Grandmaw's place.

So every once in a while, the same conversation will crop up. My wife will say something like this. "Darling, Ijal asked if he can have the pond". I would reply "Sure thing darling, just remind me the next time and i will bring it along to his place".

"But you know something? Mak really don't like the idea cos she said that if we give the pond to Ijal, she would end up taking care of the thing".

My reply would be, "Oh Well, if the Queen of the house says No, then forget it, i wont be the one that's gonna be party to something that's gonna irk my mother in law".


The above conversation has been going on for about 1 year !!! yups.. 1 year.

So, about a couple of days ago, we had this same conversation in the car with all the kids at the back of the car. Immediately, you can see some strange reactions from Riffatt and Seth..

They looked totally shocked!

"Darling, Ijal asked about the porn again" my wife said."

"Sayang, I already told you a million times, your mom already said that she don't want him to have the porn".

i asked Riffatt what was the first thing that went through his mind and he said he was wondering how much porn collection do i currently have to give away..

its really amazing that these kids having english as their first language can actually misunderstood such a simple thing... between a pond and a porn.
